The Willoughby’s
Rick and Linda Willoughby were childhood sweethearts since kindergarten. They grew up across the street from one another in Redondo Beach California and Rick was smitten the first time he saw her. They began dating seriously in 1962 and the rest is history. They have been married for 55 years.
In 1966 Rick was drafted into the Army during the Viet Nam War. Served 2 years in Germany, manning the Pershing Missile and 1 year in Oklahoma.
At 25 Rick knew he was called by God to preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He first served as a youth pastor in their local church in Simi Valley, California. Then started and pastored two churches. One in Saugus, California and another in Simi Valley. Their Spiritual journey finally led them to Woodstock, Georgia where he became Chaplain of two of Atlanta’s
prisons. Rick and Linda have always been missionary minded. Rick has ministered in Haiti, China, Serbia and now their hearts are in Malawi, Africa. They currently serve in leadership at their local church in Woodstock and their dream of working in a non profit Missionary organization has come to pass: O.M.E.G.A. Missions. They have 3 grown children including their spouses, and 7 grandchildren. They love boating, fishing, old cars, motorcycle riding, decorating and hanging out with the grandkids.
